Actually, most of the folks where I live are devout Theists. You still haven’t outlined exactly how my disbelief is a religion/belief. Can’t you type in coherent English? I thought it was your first language? WTF does ‘One who does not understand theory’ mean? Theory of what? Are you saying that I do not understand the meaning of the word ‘theory’? Because I am very well versed with the scientific use of the term.

You hit upon one of the great misconceptions of atheism–that it can be equated with communism, totalitarianism, and other dangerous belief systems. It has, of course, no such implications. None of the great dictators did what they did in the name of atheism; rather, they were led by insidious ideologies (Hitler’s ideas on racial superiority, for example) or other self-serving philosophies.
Look at the morality of “godless” Western Europe and compare it that of “Christian” American.

Atheism is NOT a religion, and neither is theism. Both are simply position statements. How one approaches the position determines whether it is a religion. I have met atheists who have certainly become as dogmatic and closed-minded as fundamentalists, but most of us don’t really care what someone wants to believe as long as they aren’t shoving it down our throats, teaching it in schools, or trying to influence public policy.

There are only three philosophical arguments for the existence of God, the Cosmological argument, the Teleological argument and Ontological argument. Wiki them up if you like - all three of them are flawed and can be easily disputed. There are other arguments like ‘Where did we get our morality from?’ that can be easily explained through evolutionary mechanisms and Game Theory.

Oh God not this tired argument again. Atheism is the default option. My disbelief in Dragons or the Lochness Monster IS NOT a belief. I am making no positive assertions about the universe. I cannot say with the highest degree of surety that God DOES NOT exist in the same way that I cannot say that with surety that dragons DO NOT exist. The chance that they do, is ofcourse, infinitesmal. lol, I picked the wrong side? How intelligent.
